As suppliers to the Australian Healthcare industry for over 40 years, SSS Australia’s number one priority throughout the COVID-19 pandemic is supporting the Australian healthcare industry. We have been following the Queensland Health and Federal Government recommendations and regulations very closely as the situation has developed.

As an essential business, we are continuing to operate at an expanded capacity to ensure we can continue our service to the healthcare industry. We would like to provide our customers with clarity on how we are adapting to further support you throughout this time.

Personal Account Managers

You may have noticed an absence of our personal account management team visiting your businesses. We have stopped our face to face visits for the safety of your team, your patients and residents, and for the safety of our own team. We also understand that you may be responding to the pandemic, and a visit from us may not add value to you at this time.

However, our personal account managers are still working remotely and are available to assist you during this time. Should you need assistance with ordering, have new product requirements, have urgent requests or more, our team are ready and waiting to assist you.

Increased Flexibility in Communication

Video Meetings
We now have video chat functionally via Skype or Facetime. If these services would be more beneficial to you than a phone call, text message or an email, please feel free to reach out to your personal account manager to organise a time for a Skype or Facetime meeting.

Book Time With Your Account Manager
You are now able to book time with your personal account manager whenever it's convenient for both of you using Calendly. You can choose to book time in whatever kind of contact you would like. Whether it's a phone call, video chat, live chat or in extenuating circumstances, an in-person meeting.

Live Chat 
We are pleased to be able to offer live chat facilities to our customers. You are now able to chat online directly with your Personal Account Manager (when they are available). We hope you will find this service convenient at this time. You can access this from both phone or computer.

Inventory & Supply

Our inventory levels and supply rates have been affected by the worldwide shortage of PPE and other in-demand products as a result of COVID-19. We want to assure our customers that we have been working very hard to ensure these products are supplied only to healthcare and aged care facilities. We pride ourselves on serving the healthcare community as we have always done and at this time only providing sensitive in-demand supplies to health and aged care sectors.

We appreciate your patience where there has been a lack of information on arrival dates and volumes of these products. It has been very difficult to attain reliable ETAs on products such as hand sanitiser, wipes, hospital-grade disinfectants, masks, gloves, gowns and thermometers.
We will continue to work very hard with our current suppliers and are sourcing new suppliers of quality alternatives to assist our customers’ requirements in this demanding time and ensuring available products satisfy the TGA regulations.
As these stock become available our warehouse team and transport partners are ready to process outstanding orders for delivery to your facility.

At this time we have begun to see an increase in product prices from a number of manufacturers and suppliers, these price increases are now affecting the price of some regular items and can be attributed to the reduced exchange rates and an increase in the manufacturing cost of medical supplies.

We are working with our delivery partners to ensure that your orders are delivered in a way that complies with your business’ policies and procedures. Please let us know if we can assist further to comply with any changes to how you receive goods during this time.

We have started an SSS Australia COVID-19 Updates mailing list. During this time, we will endeavour to provide quick and accurate updates to this database about the arrival of PPE and highly sought after products, and adaptions to company operations.
