Description
The Bedalarms SMF Floor Sensor Mat (780 x 540mm) is an inexpensive and effective tool for inclusion in your program of patient fall prevention.
These mats are manufactured from a medical grade soft plastic, with heat welded seams that create a moisture proof unit. The cable entry point is reinforced and also moisture proof for a longer product life.
This sensor mat is designed to be placed on the floor at the side of the resident’s bed or across an exit door. The cable has a moulded socket and connects with a (SMI) Sensor Mat Interface (refer to our other products for detail) which plugs directly into your nurse call system.
This sensor mat underlay is designed to sit underneath a high quality carpet topped rubber mat (SMO) (refer to our other products for detail).
Care and instructions are printed on each mat, for the ease of any staff member using the product on-site.

Instructions:
Lay the carpet overlay mat (SMO) upside down and join the sensor mat underlay (SMF) to the carpet overlay mat (SMO) by connecting the velcro dots on each corner of the mats. Then flip over and ensure this sensor mat set is lying flat on the floor with the carpet side facing upwards. Connect the sensor mat interface (SMI) into the socket on the sensor mat underlay (SMF). Plug sensor mat interface(SMI) into your nurse call system. Ensure all cabling is tucked away and will not create a trip hazard. Switch on the sensor mat using the on/off button located on the interface (SMI) (**note the mat can be turned off and slipped under the bed if not in use, the call bell will continue to work). Test the system is working by stepping onto the mat. The mat should activate the nurse call alarm as soon as pressure is applied. Reset the nurse call system. **Test regularly. Please read the use and care instructions printed on the sensor mat before use.
