Biosyn™ synthetic absorbable sutures are made from a synthetic polyester blend consisting of glycolide (60%), dioxanone (14%), and trimethylene carbonate (26%). These sutures offer reliable strength straight out of the package, providing essential support throughout the critical wound healing period. They feature excellent knot security, ensuring a secure wound closure with minimal risk of knot slippage. The monofilament design allows for a smooth passage through tissue, reducing trauma during suturing.
Specifications include USP size 3/0, a 3/8 circle reverse cutting needle measuring 19 mm, and a thread length of 75 cm. The sutures are undyed for discreet use and come in a box containing 36 units, making them suitable for a variety of surgical applications.
