A Hydro-Responive Wound Dressing (HRWDTM) that cleanses, debrides, desloughs and absorbs, for optimal wound bed preparation

The dressing is made up of a soft and conformable pad, which contains superabsorbent polyacrylate (SAP) at its core.
These SAP particles are pre-activated with Ringer's solution and the antiseptic Polyhexanide (polyhexamethylene biguanide, PHMB) which has an antimicrobial effect.
The low adherent layer with addition of silicone strips minimises adherence to the wound and alleviates pain at dressing removal.
HydroClean® plus rinses and cleanses the wound. The continuous rinsing - absorption mechanism promotes wound cleansing and formation of granulation tissue by softening and detaching necrotic tissue and slough.
It therefore facilitates the natural process of autolytic debridement.
