MONOFAST (Poliglecaprone 25) is a type of monofilament synthetic absorbable suture material. It consists of a copolymer blend comprising 75% glycolide and 25% caprolactone.
MONOFAST comes in an undyed form, appearing as a natural color. It is offered in various material gauges ranging from 6-0 to gauge 1. Needled sutures are available in different lengths, including 45 cm, 70 cm, and 90 cm. Additionally, it is offered in standard lengths of 1.5 m and 2.5 m for ligation purposes.
MONOFAST provides wound support for approximately three weeks. Notably, MONOFAST exhibits high initial strength.
