The PleurX™ Pleural Catheter System is designed for the intermittent, long-term drainage of symptomatic, recurrent pleural effusion, including malignant pleural effusions and other recurrent effusions that remain unresponsive to medical management of the underlying disease. Additionally, it is indicated for palliating dyspnea resulting from pleural effusion and facilitating pleurodesis to resolve the effusion.
