PERMA-HAND® Silk Suture is a sterile, non-absorbable surgical suture manufactured from fibroin, a natural organic protein derived from the domesticated silkworm species Bombyx mori of the Bombycidae family.
The silk used in these braided sutures is specially processed to remove natural waxes and gums, then coated with wax or silicone to enhance handling and performance. PERMA-HAND® Silk Sutures are available undyed or dyed black for improved visibility during procedures.
PERMA-HAND® Sutures are indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including applications in cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurological procedures.
