The Shiley™ oral/nasal endotracheal tube with an intermediate cuff is designed for use with patients ranging from pediatric to adult. Available in sizes 5.0–10.0 mm, this tube features a high-volume, low-pressure cuff. Unlike the legacy version, it is made from non-DEHP PVC material, which softens at body temperature and conforms to the airway for improved comfort.
This tube includes a standard 15 mm connector for easy connection to respiratory and anesthesia equipment. Depth marks are printed in centimeter increments along a portion of the tube to assist with proper placement. The Magill curve helps facilitate smoother tube insertion, while the embedded radiopaque filament ensures visibility on X-rays throughout the length of the tube. Additionally, full-circumference glottic print marks are visible on sizes 5.0–10.0 mm, aiding in tube visualization during intubation and placement when the tube tip is out of view or beyond the vocal cords.
