Askina® Foam

Hydrophilic foam dressing designed for effective exudate management and patient comfort.

Overview

Askina® Foam is a high-performance hydrophilic foam dressing that provides excellent exudate absorption and fluid handling for optimal wound care. Its gentle, non-adherent surface promotes a moist wound-healing environment while allowing atraumatic, painless dressing changes. The dressing enables visual control of exudate absorption, supporting clinical decision-making and reducing the need for frequent dressing changes.

Advantages

  • Excellent fluid-handling and absorption capacity
  • Reduces the need for frequent dressing changes
  • Maintains a moist wound-healing environment
  • Non-adherent design allows painless, atraumatic removal
  • Enables visual monitoring of exudate absorption

Indications

Askina® Foam is indicated for the management of moderate to heavily exuding wounds, including:

  • Stage I–IV pressure injuries
  • Venous and arterial leg ulcers
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • 1st and 2nd degree burns

Contraindications

Askina® Foam should not be used on:

  • Ulcers resulting from infections such as tuberculosis, syphilis, or deep fungal infections
