Medstock Film Dressings

Medstock Film is a transparent, highly permeable polyurethane adhesive dressing designed to securely retain primary dressings. It is suitable for use on dry to low-exudate wounds and is ideal for applications such as skin tears, donor sites, IV sites, and suture lines. Medstock Film is available as individual dressings in a range of sizes, as well as in roll format for added flexibility.

Product Performance

  • Transparent and waterproof to allow continuous wound observation
  • Promotes faster healing by retaining natural wound exudate while allowing excess moisture to evaporate, helping to prevent maceration
  • Can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on the level of exudate
  • Provides effective protection against friction and shear forces
  • Acts as a barrier to contamination and bacteria; impermeable to water and body fluids, allowing the area to be washed
  • Thin, flexible design with excellent conformability
  • Resists edge lift and roll-up, and is easy to remove to help minimise pain
  • Leaves no adhesive residue on the skin after removal
  • Roll format with grid mapping for accurate cutting, ease of use, and cost efficiency

Applications

  • Retention of primary and island dressings
  • Dry to low-exudate wounds only
  • Epithelialising wounds
  • Skin tears, donor sites, IV sites, and suture lines
  • Superficial burns and abrasions
  • Flexible or high-movement areas such as fingers, elbows, heels, and knees
